I love this software, however, the capture button being middle mouse is a bit annoying since a lot actions I usually do use the middle mouse button, like fast scrolling through a page, closing a tab, or moving the map in a Paradox game, and changing the "CAPTURE_BUTTON" in the settings JSON doesn't appear to do anything for me.
Could you look into that? As it is today, I usually open, use it, and close it as soon as I'm done since it frequently gets in the way of browsing for me.
As of right now CAPTURE_BUTTON only supports left/middle/right, it doesn't support keyboard bindings. It's not a very useful setting, honestly, since left and right are way more obtrusive.
Keyboard bindings could be a last resort solution for cases like games that do something when you press the middle mouse button over text. But I find it pretty annoying to have to reach the keyboard constantly. So I'm thinking of the following as the primary solution:
- If you press and release the middle mouse button fast (as in a click), it will skip it and won't make a capture. (So it won't interfere for closing a tab).
- Same thing if the area of the rectangle or any of the sides are too small. (So it won't interfere when scrolling with the middle mouse button).
